QAssure

QAssure is a multi-million, Innovate UK-funded, collaborative initiative to develop a security assurance framework for quantum-based communications, focusing on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). Led by BT Group, it unites 11 partners—from universities and the National Physical Laboratory to leading enterprises—to ensure QKD meets essential performance, reliability, and security standards. By merging expertise in systems engineering, cybersecurity, and quantum cryptography, QAssure paves the way for robust, trustworthy quantum solutions in critical sectors like finance and healthcare.  

Lboro QSE is leading WP5 on Assurance and Standards, with the goal to develop a new assurance case for a QKD network and an AI-assisted approach to evaluate the assurance case to derive a confidence metric.
